Appraisers of Real Estate

An appraiser is a person who prepares or communicates an appraisal of real property.

To obtain the required experience to apply for licensure, an intern must be registered with the Division under a Nevada certified appraiser.
An intern actively assists in the preparation or communication of an appraisal under the direct supervision of a certified appraiser.

Suitable for or consisting of no more than four residential units in any one transaction;
Total value does not exceed $1,000,000; and
The complexity of the transaction does not, under the regulations of a federal agency or the standards adopted by the appraisal subcommittee of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council, require a certified appraiser.
A person licensed as a residential appraiser may, under the direct supervision of a certified appraiser, assist in the preparation and communication of an appraisal that is outside the scope of his certificate or license.

Suitable for or consisting of no more than four residential units in any one transaction; and
Without limit of value.
A person certified as a residential appraiser may, under the direct supervision of a certified appraiser, assist in the preparation and communication of an appraisal that is outside the scope of his certificate or license.
